The Conference on Active and Healthy Ageing is being organized by Imserso, Ministry of Health and Social Policy, and will be held on April 29th and 30th at Logroño (Spain)

Logroño has a national airport and its distance from Madrid is 328 km, and 137 km away from Bilbao.

Logroño is a quiet city, capital of La Rioja. This region is well known for its wine production, and it is also one of the main cities of the Saint James Pilgrimage Route.

Temperature in April ranges between 6º C and 12º C.

Logroño has many famous monuments and sites such as the Stone Bridge, Santa María la Redonda Cathedral, Santa María de Palacio or the Marqués de Legarda Palace.

All meetings will take place at Riojaforum Conference Centre. This modern purpose-built centre was open in 2004 and is totally equipped with everything required in this kind of Conference.

Very interesting venues have been chosen for the social events: Museum of Wine and Hostería de San Millán. Hostería San Millán is located in a wing of Yuso Monastery, one of UNESCO World Heritage sites.
